Keller Inc. is a 100% Employee Owned, Design/Build General Contractor with locations in Kaukauna, Wausau, Germantown and Sun Prairie, WI. We are looking to hire a Project Architect to (preferably) work out of our Kaukauna, WI location but also open to adding to one of our outside offices too. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Architect who has experience (and enjoys) being involved in the sales process. Essential Job Functions:
- Assist the Sales/Project Management team in acquiring new customers and related projects for design and construction
- Assist the Sales/Project Management team during all phases of design and construction as needed
- Specifically perform architectural duties of programming, schematic design and design development as the Project Architect and direct the production of construction documentation by architectural staff
- Assist in selecting and specifying exterior finish requirements
- Collaborate with the Interior Design team for interior material and spatial design
- Evaluate building designs for compliance with the International Building Code and all referenced codes
- Collaborate on civil design efforts of building location, circulation, wayfinding and landscaping
- Communicate and collaborate with the architectural and construction teams to look for creative and innovative ways to reach the goals for the company
- Communicate with A&E forms
- Review redlined drawings for compliance
- Code Research
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, required
- Licensed Architect, Preferred
- If not currently licensed, it’s expected that you become licensed within the first few years of working at Keller
- Minimum of two years experience in the construction industry preferred
- Experience working in Revit
Skills:
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Ability to communicate well with outside customers and subcontractors as well as all levels of internal management and coworkers
- Ability to balance demand and prioritize in a fast paced environment
- Self-starter who is accountable for results
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- Must possess knowledge of standard commercial construction practices
