Keller, Inc. has been chosen as the general contractor and architect on a new building project for Stevens Point Curling Club located in Plover, Wisconsin.
The Stevens Point Curling Club, originally founded in 1956, promotes the Olympic sport of curling to residents of the Stevens Point area. The club focuses on providing a welcoming and engaging environment for curlers of all ages and abilities.
Keller, Inc. will be building a brand new 20,100 square foot dedicated ice facility that will feature four curling sheets, which will double the number of people who can currently curl at any given time. The building is designed to allow for an expansion in the future to add two additional sheets if needed. The new state-of-the-art facility will support the club’s current programs, as well as expand the opportunities for youth, senior and wheelchair curlers.
Construction of the curling club will begin at the end of April at the facility’s future location in Lake Pacawa Park in the Village of Plover. The location is ideal as it is easily accessible for the residents of Portage County, as well as visitors from the greater Wisconsin area. Construction of the facility is expected to be complete by Fall of 2020.
