Project Description
This new ground-up construction project established a state-of-the-art agricultural processing and distribution campus in Waupun, Wisconsin. Designed to support the cooperative’s growing operations, the campus integrates multiple specialized buildings to streamline processing, storage, and logistics across one unified site. The 22,000-square-foot Soy Processing Facility serves as the heart of the operation, featuring a durable precast concrete structure that houses offices, a processing control room, and a production area equipped with soy processing equipment, roasters, and storage tanks. Supporting spaces – including equipment, electrical, and maintenance rooms – ensure safe, reliable, and efficient daily operations. The 3,703-square-foot Railcar and Truck Loadout Building was engineered for seamless logistics. It includes an elevated control room and electrical rooms, overhead loading systems for both corn and soy, and a fully integrated rail spur to facilitate smooth product transfer and transportation efficiency. The 3,320-square-foot Scale Office Building supports on-site logistics with offices, a scale room, and a testing lab. Exterior truck scales adjacent to the building provide accurate weighing for incoming and outgoing loads, ensuring precision and accountability in every shipment. Additional facilities include a 4,000-square-foot Storage Building for durable equipment storage and multiple Feed Mill Buildings, featuring a 7,392-square-foot receiving/shipping extension, a 2,630-square-foot heated bulk tank room, 36,000 square feet of warehousing and microsystem space, and 12,000 square feet of heated packaging and office space. Together, these facilities create a cohesive, high-performance campus that supports efficient production, storage, and transportation—all designed and constructed to meet the cooperative’s long-term growth, quality, and sustainability goals.
