Being one of the first wineries to plant acres of grape vines in Door County, it was Simon Creek Winery’s mission to start up a new tourist destination of multiple wineries offering one of the first full winery and vineyard true experiences to the Door County community. Honoring the property history, the ground-up facility was built mimicking the existing 100-year-old barn onsite by including cultured stone exterior and a metal roof, while the interior features stamped concrete floors, viewing of the production area, and a small retail shop.
Building on a site that did not have municipal sewer, water or sanitary available, the Keller Project Manager, Architect and Interior Designer were able to solve for this issue by designing the site to include a new well and a conventional septic system for the facility.
