Location: Freedom, Wisconsin
Building Type: Ground-Up
Project: 15,000 Sq. Ft. Fire Station & EMS Facility
The existing facility was designed for a smaller department with smaller and fewer pieces of equipment. Although the building did provide necessary space at the time of it being built, the current staff and equipment requirements have rendered this space inadequate. The lack of space has also caused inefficiencies and safety concerns for staff, as well as congestion in the apparatus bay.
Keller was brought in after a different architect led the town to a 90% no vote in 2019, causing the project to end. Less than 1 year later Keller guided the township to a successful vote and began construction shortly after. Critical to the success of this project, was the continuous community engagement needed to ensure voters were well informed before going to the polls.
